Open in Google MapsA fantastic dinner at Oryz - an Asian fusion restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City that's listed in the Michelin Guide.
The set menu for the day was inspired by Big Market, a lively local market, which made the experience even more exciting!
We started with dim sum served with spicy satay sauce, and then the fish noodle soup with cold noodles. The prawn spring rolls with fermented shrimp sauce were also delicious.
The mango dumplings were a standout for me – a thin mango wrapper with a sweet and sour flavor, filled with crab meat and mushrooms. It was my favorite dish.
Other highlights included the fish cake with daikon radish, grilled pork wrapped in mustard greens, and the creative phở variations. The beef stew served in an onion was another memorable dish.
The chicken rice was perfectly tender, paired with steamed chicken and ginger herbal sauce. We finished with sweet almond tofu and two types of coconut cakes, a perfect ending.
The food was amazing, the staff was knowledgeable and polite, and I highly recommend this restaurant!
